The essence of a great tour lies in your ability to get involved, to meet people and experience things you’ll never forget.
We don’t operate adventure tours where adrenalin-pumping activities are the main game, but we also don't expect that you'll want to spend all your time gazing out of a bus window.
Your itinerary will involve frequent stops to look at something, meet some people, or go on a local tour or side trip.
There are walks of between 15 minutes and 2 hours, mostly of easy to moderate grade, requiring a reasonable level of fitness.
There are opportunities to look at heritage places, Aboriginal cultural sites, galleries and museums, and places of immense natural beauty and fascination.
There are river, lake, bay and island cruises of 1-4 hours.
There are opportunities to get close to wildlife and to see a kangaroo, an emu, a platypus or a wombat (not to mention bearded dragons and other reptiles!).
You’ll encounter a wide variety of Australian birdlife, trees and flowers, as well as rainforests, wetlands, deserts and alpine habitats.
You can go whale watching or on a dolphin cruise, see penguins come ashore or watch seals playing in the sea off a wild headland.
You’ll come face to face with farming life and all its ups and downs, and see where the food on your table comes from.
You might have the opportunity to taste award-winning food and wine produce, and you could experience anything from intensive small farms to vast outback stations where the farmer’s aeroplane is his version of a utility truck.
You’ll drink in country pubs or ride an historic goldfields railway, swim in waterfalls or the ocean surf, walk to the top of Australia or talk to an Aboriginal traditional owner about an inspiring rock art gallery.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn about nature, and about human endeavour and foolishness, prosperity and hardship, cruelty and kindness, loss and recovery.
You’ll hear stories you never read about in books.
